Greetings, fellow painters! I hope you enjoy the rather whimsical designs I have been creating for several years now. But while designing has been a fairly recent endeavor of mine, painting has not.

I began painting�with oils�in the late 1970's after convincing a friend (with painting experience) to offer a class in basic techniques. Over the years, I painted many gifts and also participated in a local craft show formed with other friends who also enjoyed painting.

When acrylic paints became popular, it was "back to the drawing board" because the techniques are so different. Much of what I have learned about painting in acrylics is self-taught through books, practice and much trial and error, and it has been a journey filled with fun.

Taking the plunge and creating my own designs was a big step for me. I have no formal art training, but I do have some definite likes and dislikes. It is another ongoing learning process and I hope you will check back from time to time to see how my work is progressing. May it inspire you to pick up your brushes and paint!
